Here’s what a few of my clients had to say:
“From manuscript development to jacket-copy, Seth Fischer is an amazing and nurturing editor. Detail oriented, prompt, and wise: Fischer readily gets the gist of a narrative and communicates suggestions for revision via thorough in-line comments. His letters to our authors are intuitive and insightful. Conversations with Seth help guide our editors through the process of transforming manuscripts into excellent books. Stillhouse Press is proud to trust Seth’s wisdom and grammatical perfection!” — Marcos Martinez, Editor-in-Chief at Stillhouse Press.
“Being a general trade publisher and publishing many different genres, we often find ourselves in situations where we’re bouncing back and forth between voices and audiences, and it’s can be challenging to navigate effectively. Seth Fischer is one of our go-to editorial masters, and he helps immensely with making sense out of what we’re continuing to accomplish.” —Tyson Cornell, Rare Bird Lit
“Seth has a scalpel-like intellect guided by the steadiest hand. He dissected with great care every part of the work and revealed exactly what it needed to be healed. He is meticulous with his process and the yield is that what gets produced, in the end, is much greater than the sum of its parts.” Elizabeth Earley, Author, Editor at Jaded Ibis Press.
“I’ve now worked with Seth on two very different books, and can say, enthusiastically, that I have never had a more superb story editor analyze my prose. Seth is masterful at suggesting how to repair narratives in a manner that sharpens a rough manuscript into a captivating arc.” —Chip Jacobs, author of People’s Republic of Chemicals and Strange As It Seems.
“Sometimes when we’re writers bobbing around in the world being overly sensitive romantics, our vision gets a little muddled between seeing the forest from the trees. This is a great time to call Seth Fischer.” — Melissa Chadburn, author of the forthcoming novel A Tiny Upward Shove, from Houghton Mifflin Harcourt
“Without Seth Fischer, Saturnalia wouldn’t be the amazing book it is today. Thank you, Seth, for your advice, your patience, and your trust in me. You knew what I was trying to say and helped me say it. Thank you for helping me bring out my voice.” — Justin Chapman, author of Saturnalia
