I provide writing consultation to writers of traditional fiction and nonfiction, as well as those working on online or transmedia projects. I can provide global critiques and/or line edits.
Here’s what some of my clients had to say:
“Seth Fischer read and commented on the entire 300-plus page manuscript of my book Ten Ways to Change the World in Your Twenties. Seth’s extensive feedback demonstrated astonishing attention to detail, and he offered big picture suggestions that helped to improve the overall book. He understands both the importance of structure and style, as well as writing with an awareness about your potential audience and the best methods for conveying compelling messages. Ten Ways is much better because of Seth’s suggestions.” — Libuse Binder.
“Sometimes when we’re writers bobbing around in the world being overly sensitive romantics our vision gets a little muddled between seeing the forest from the trees. This is a great time to call Seth Fischer. He is a fair grounded person that gives great notes with the perfect sized kid gloves. I have changed my relationship completely with my manuscript since I got notes from him. He has the language of critiquing down, he is able to make great electronic notes. I don’t worry about taking stuff I don’t want I accept what I like and leave the rest. He is able to focus on the things that matter to me with both line notes and global notes. He keeps the fictional dream alive and most of all has allowed me to return to my manuscript in a way that frees me up to continue to take risks and have fun!”
